Haven for Success
ABOUT US
Haven for Success (HFS) is a Supervised Independent Living Program (SIL) contracted with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services that aids young adults aging out of care make the transition into adulthood.

SIL placement setting allows young adults 18 and older to be placed in a non-traditional, less restrictive environment while still in paid foster care. Young adults placed in SIL settings are provided with minimal supervision and receiving case management services. This arrangement allows young adults to practice necessary independent living skills and achieve self-sufficiency in a supportive environment before leaving foster care.
What are the requirements?

Female young adults between the ages of 18 and 20, who were wards of the State of Texas on their 18th birthday, are eligible to participate in this program

All youth will need to contact their CPS caseworker or PAL worker to begin the application process.

You must have at least one form of identification when entering the program.

Transport:
Youth are responsible for their own transportation. Metro bus stops are located right on the corner of the property. Sidewalks for walking and biking are easily accessible. Youth also can access ride sharing services such as uber and lyft at their expense

Youth are responsible for their own transportation. A Metro bus stop is located within a 20 minute walk from the property. However, many resources are within walking distance.Youth also can access ride sharing services such as uber and lyft at their expense.
